Policy
At Summit Pediatrics, we prioritize your child’s safety, well-being, and overall experience during each visit. Our policy is to maintain the highest standards of medical care, adhering to strict guidelines to safeguard your child’s health. We are committed to maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, using state-of-the-art equipment, and employing evidence-based practices. Additionally, we value open communication and encourage parents to share their concerns or ask questions to ensure the best possible care for their little ones.
cancellation policy
No-Show/Cancellation
Missing appointments without giving us notice takes away the chance for another patient to receive care. We require notice of 1 day prior to the appointment for cancellations. Failure to notify of cancellation in a timely manner will result in a no-show fee of $25. We understand that emergencies occur and life happens, and this fee may be waived if the clinic is called afterward and the appt is rescheduled. Repeated no-shows may result in notification for a family to transfer to another physician.
Vaccine Policy
- Vaccines are an important aspect of pediatric care because they keep children, families, and communities healthy. The American Academy of Pediatrics “strongly recommends immunizations as the safest and most cost-effective way of preventing disease, disability, and death.”
- Vaccines are formulated to be given at certain points in children’s development for peak effectiveness and safety. The AAP and CDC publish recommendations for pediatricians and parents to follow, and these recommendations should be followed on time to prevent illness and complication of illness.
- Vaccines have been thoroughly studies and have been proven safe and effective. They do not cause autism or developmental delay.
- We believe that following the AAP recommendations for our patients is the right thing to do to protect our patients, their families, and the community.
- We do not follow alternative vaccine schedules or provide vaccine exemptions unless there is a medical contraindication to do so.
- We would be happy to discuss concerns or questions that you may have about vaccines and would be happy to provide you with a copy of the vaccine schedule. You may find a copy of the schedule at this link: https://www.aap.org/en/patient-care/immunizations/
- We require all patients to follow the AAP recommended schedule. Parents or caregivers who refuse to adhere to the recommended schedule without a medical reason will be asked to transfer care to another physician.
